Krista developed a passion for a healthy, active, lifestyle at a young age. Krista played for the Northern Alberta Volleyball Club (NAVC) for four years and represented Alberta twice with the provincial volleyball team. Krista completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta. During her degree, she spent two years playing on the Varsity Volleyball team. Krista also trained with and completed for the cross country and indoor track and field team during the last year of her degree. In 2004, Krista shifted sports from volleyball to triathlon. She has been successful in provincial and national races, and has competed for team Canada at Triathlon World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland and Hamburg, Germany. |
